ONEderland Approachs?

I'm almost scared [INLINE] to "say" this out loud, but I decided to post it here and "claim" it.

You all know of my utter joy and surprise when after a 6 month plateau I suddenly dropped 4 pounds. Now, 6 weeks later, I've lost another 2 pounds! I know that's slow, and it's nothing like my first year, but at 25 months out, I'll take it! [INLINE]

So January 31st finds me weighing 202lbs... a total of 218lbs lost. [INLINE] Dare I dream it? 3 more pounds and I'll be in ONDderland! My personal goal is to show up at the reunion in March firmly in ONEderland.

Keep me accountable folks! [INLINE]

    Cathy -
GREAT NEWS on the forever gone 2 pounds! Congrats!!!
I am exactly 11 months further out than you and had almost the same
starting weight. In my 3rd year I "only" lost 25 pounds, which
seems terribly slow compared to the first 2 years. But, when I
think of the fact that I AM STILL LOSING AND SO ARE YOU I am very
thankful for even the small losses. At this stage of the game I
know the reality of regain is just a few bites away! It is such a
struggle now but I have not made goal and am determined to do so. I
will keep you accountable if you will do the same for me! We have a
little over six weeks till the reunion in March so how about if we
encourage each other and both make that goal of 3 pounds?
You go girl....you can do it!
    Valerie

First thing, change up my exercise. I learned at support group this weekend that sometimes if we do the same routine for too long, our bodies get used to it and the weightloss effect of exercise is gone. Secondly, I'm going to cut 1 cup of coffee and add an extra 8oz. of water just to see if it helps.

Thirdly, I'm gonna keep telling myself, "You can't let Val win!" hahahahahaha!

Okay, then starting today my goal is to get more water in (as soon
as I finish this cup of coffee...LOL). What are you going to do
    today towards our goal?

Hmmm... you do realize that 3 years ago, instead of walking home you probably would've sat down and cried. I know I would. Isn't awesome to be able to walk?

Okay, I'll give you extra points for walking in the cold. [INLINE]

The challenge is ON! I got in some extra walking at lunch time
because of stupidity, but hey any exercise counts! I think it
should count extra since it was so cold out! LOL :-) I drove to our
public library to pick up a book and locked my keys in the car! I
live a little over a mile from there so walked home and got my son
to drive me back and used his key to open my car, and made it back
to work in time! I am NOT a good exerciser. At most I walk up to
the 4th floor at work a few times a day. Now to get busy on my
    water.

Isn't it funny the things we have on our bodies that we didn't even know existed?
    vln00 <vnash72@...

You're right, there is no way I could have walked it 3 years ago. I
could hardly make it through the grocery store without resting and I
would avoid going places if there was much walking involved. I
would have called someone and waited until I could be picked up (and
cried). The sense of freedom because you can do so many things that
    weren't possible before is awesome!
For 2 days now I have been lifting my shoulders so I can see the
holes by my collarbone...it just tickles me to see it. Doesn't take
    much to amuse me, huh?

    Gals,

I want to let you know what an inspiration to all of us you are. It is great to know you can still lose where you are. My weight loss is slowing down and I am getting a little discouraged. And I have had people tell me you look good are you trying to lose more? you are not sick are you? I have couple of friends who have stopped loosing and did so at about 6 months (they did not go to CMC) and are sure I will too. I feel better than I have in years and I am pleased with how I look. I am no longer ashamed to be introduced to new people. But I really want to get to goal and to see you still loosing and keeping up the "good fight" It is so encouraging to me.

    Thank you!

I just figure that I've come too far to give up now. That's not to say it's not hard, cause it's VERY hard. BUT-I want this last 22 lbs off, so I'm gonna fight.
